glug started with a simple frustration: why were reusable bottles either ugly, impractical, or built to fail? We set out to design something better.
In 2019, our founders James and Sarah were training for a triathlon and couldn't find a water bottle they actually wanted to carry. The ones that kept drinks cold were ugly. The stylish ones leaked. The cheap ones tasted of plastic after a week.
So they quit their jobs — James as a product engineer at Dyson, Sarah as a brand director at Nike — and spent 18 months obsessing over every millimetre of a better bottle. glug launched in 2020 with a single SKU, a small crowdfunding campaign, and a very specific promise: the best-performing, best-looking bottle you've ever owned.
Four years later, we've sold over 180,000 bottles, expanded to three sizes and eight colourways, and kept every single one of our original promises.

We won't make claims we can't back up. We publish our annual environmental report, offset 100% of our shipping emissions, and are on track to be a certified B-Corp by the end of 2025.
